I am a make-up artist, a painter, a sculptor, a seamstress. I dye fabric, draw, scrapbook and dabble with photography. I have a digital camera, about three 35 mm and a medium format camera. I also have been a henna tattoo artist since 1997. I haven't done much painting or fine art work in a while! I love the artist Shag. www.shag.com

I LOVE art. I love to paint, draw, whatever. I'm not very good, but I don't care, I love it I like graphic design, too, but I stink at that as well My favorite artists are Kandinsky (by far my fav), Monet, Matisse, Delaunay, and Gris. And sometimes Rothko. I know, his stuff is really plain, but sometimes it just goes with the furniture Kathy

Im not a very good artist but i love art......i love Da Vinci, Van Gough, Claude Monet, Degas....and i could go on forever all the well known artist from earlier times who did something different than ordinary and put so much of themselves in their work...nothing compares to the Sistene Chapel in Rome....now that is real talent

Here, here, Dandelion.
I saw the Sistene Chapel in 1999. That and the Pieta moved me to tears. I have never seen anything so beatiful in my life, except my daughter!
It was so funny...I took the tour of the Vatican City...since I was travelling alone and the Vatican art collection takes up like 1400 rooms! Well, once I got into the chapel...I just started crying...uncontrollable sobbing, actually. And it's a silent chapel...but it was so hard because my sobs were so loud! I just knew I'd get kicked out! It was just too beautiful to take!
And everyone else there was asking if I was ok...? Hello? I'm in the presence of greatness and just a little moved, okay? It is frustrating that many people just seemed to be there to say they have been there. But for me as an arist, I was experiencing the end-all, be-all of the artistic world.

I always had a passion to create. I've done art as long as I can remember. So far I have taken two years in computer animation at college, but after a car accident (my friend's car was hit by a little old lady) I had to drop out of school from my injuries. Now I'm back going to school but I have to go to a state school to save money. And state schools don't offer computer animation. So I'm in studio art right now and I do love painting, but I am also thinking about interior design. Painting doesn't seem like a very secure job field and I'm scared if I graduate in it I won't find a job after school to pay off my insane school loans. I know several of my friends that graduated last year from illustration still haven't found jobs. But then I heard that the job market for interior design is going up. Anybody have any advice?
