I'm an art major and I want to illustrate children's books when I get out of college. I've been drawing since I could hold a crayon. I love realistic art and hate all that funky modern crap(even though my teachers insist I do that kind of work). My favorite artist is John William Waterhouse. Usually my issues come out in my work, exposing them to the class. Luckily, skin picking hasn't been the subject of my art...yet.

guess the screenname gives it away. I'm sort of just starting to refer to myself as an artist even though it's something I've always been inclined toward. Right now I'm studying graphic design and I need to get off my lazy butt and do something with it all. I'm not very prolific.

im pretty good at drawing and photography...
but i love sculpting. nothing big tho. i like to make little pottery things and set them on my window sill. its just so fun to see what you can make, it keeps your hands busy, and in the end you have new things to decorate with.

I'm an artist. I used to be more into drawing, but lately I've been painting... mostly houses and cottages with lots of flowers and streams, though I have done many pieces for other people that range from tribal masks on planks of wood to modern abstract on canvas to portraits on silk. I renovated my first chair a few months ago. It was alot of fun and the result was an expensive looking chair for only a couple bucks on fabric. I already had some paint that I used. I really enjoy antiquing things, also. I really love to do anything artistic and creative.

Hi! Just a college student myself, but art is my passion. I am a late bloomer though and have only recently been experimenting with different mediums. I love inkwash and most any other painting and sketching. I only wish I had more available time to spend on expanding my creativity base. It's an amazinf feeling to give tangible form to emotion!! Oh, and I'm a writer too!! Just got accepted for the new lit issue on the campus website...very cool!!

Hey,
Um, yeah I guess I can draw. I freelance as an illustrator. I love it, but I put a LOAD of pressure on myself - perfectionism sucks. It was cool a few months ago though because I was working for the place that was doing stuff for Dora the explorer and Sponge Bob.
I was rubbish at everthing at school. Drawing was all I could do. I was trained as a grphic designer, but went off and followed my dream to be a freelance illustrator ..... if only I could work well on my own at home and NOT PICK!!!!!!!

I love art. Once my little boy's at school I'm hoping to do a fine art degree. Weirdo 13, I'd love to be a childrens' book illustrator too! It's been my dream since I was about 7. I'd like to write the books too. Steal all the glory!

I'm actually studying a BA/BFA at uni (I'm from Australia)and my plan is to study art restoration at an institute in St Petersburg....right now it's only a dream but I know I'll eventually get there ;D
My fave artists have to be Georges De La Tour, Degas, Repin, Chagall...man, the list goes on! I'm not a big fan of art that's being made today...it's too commercialised and political, and the true meaning af art has been lost in my opinion.
I couldn't imagine my life without it ;D ....or reading and music for that matter. I think they all complement each other.
