I do alot of artsy stuff too. I draw up alot of fashion designs id like to create and market one day as well as drawing anime, graffitti art, collages with mag and such cut outs and clippings, abstract and I write...ALOT. Heh. I love doing make-up too! How does one get into that make-up artist profession...without having to go to cosmotology school...is there a back door to go through? I dont really have the funds to do the whole school thing... I was thinking of starting a portfolio? And I also heard to try starting out at a cosmetics counter at a department store or something...any input?

Hey Livingdeadgirl,
I'm not sure if make-up requires some kind of licensing or certification. You should check into some schools though. Usually vocational schools teach these things and they are not that expensive, or you may qualify for some kind of financial aid. Maybe you can start at a make-up counter though. I don't know.
I'd love to see some of your graffitti art. I'm kind of into street art lately, though I haven't done any myself.
It's always a good idea to have a portfolio of your best work. It doesn't have to be something incredibly fancy. The format may depend on where you plan on sending it though.

Awesome ill look around then. Im not a great graf artist yet. Heh...And working with spray paint is ALOT harder than working with paper and drawing utensils. A couple friends of mine (whom ive painted with) are extreamly talented graf artists..one of which gets paid to do legit pieces on buildings and such

That's cool. I've seen a lot of cool graffitti that was stenciled. Of course, mostly on websites 'cause I live in a boring boring place.
