of course I picked..now back to feeling like shit again..and I got a huge zit on my chin that hurts liike hell. sorry just a lil mad. How come I know picking is bad..I know it never makes it better (although in my head it does) hopefully one of these days i will have the strength to quit...

Hi amylou

I just wanted to tell you that I know exactly how you feel. I am so tired of the breakouts on my face. I feel like everytime I look in the mirror there is a new one. Especially on my cheeks I get deep and painful cysts ... . I thought it would get better with age, but it does not. I am not really sure how much of this is my fault - I have a feeling that most of it is caused by years of picking and destroying my skin. I hope if I stop picking completely, with time there should be a positive effect and less breakouts. However, I never manage to go long enough without picking to be able to know.... .

No matter what, I have not given up hope yet. I still believe that things will get better. Maybe not physically, but at least mentally. I believe that it is possible to make peace with my skin. I am not there yet, but I am sure it is possible to live a happy life even with a face that breaks out. I just need to understand that my value in no way depends on how my skin looks. I am valuable, lovable and bright and all of this does not change even if I get a gigantic pimple on my face. I know this intellectually, but not yet emotionally.

I am wishing you strength to get through this and lots of inner peace.

thank you so much hoppe .. i know everytime i look in the mirror i have a new cyst! and they hurt sooo bad! I was doing so good...but of course its like a roller coaster i hope you are doing better!

well this morning i am doing pretty well..i put neosporin and tea tree oil on my scabs last night and my swelling of my pimples has gone down..i worked all day yesterday so i was not able to pick. It is good when I am at work ...bc i won't pick when I am there..I am supposed to work all day today so I guess that is a good thing! I hope to heal fast! My fiance wants us to go out w/ some friends tonight if I can get off of work..i don;t know if that is good or bad..I just hope i look okay..hope yall are doin well

I was wondering if any of you saw on tv that milk may cause acne?
My mother has said that for years and now it seems she may be right.

Do any of you think you may be sensitive to dairy?

i don't think that at all..actually i had a huge glass of milk yesterday and today my face has improved drastically!

actually i think that milk doesn't cause acne. if you're allergic to dairy products, then i guess that's a different case. but well, you never know until science tells us the truth! maybe someday scientist will discover sth in milk that may cause acne in some people.

it's nice to hear that milk has done your face good, amylou. i don't think it has any effect on mine. hope you're doing fine and your breakouts are going away!

I have never heard that milk causes acne..and trust me I listen to every myth like chocolate, fried food ..i don't follow it but I have never heard about the milk thing. I am doing better..just in the stage of hoping everything will heal fast! hope you are doing well also!
