this is my first post after reading in your forum for a couple of weeks...it's great! I finally understood that I have a real problem with my picking! And I am working on quitting... Anyway I want to share something with you...I am starting next week with this new amazing treatment against hyperpigmentation because now I have many dark blotches on my face from all the picking it's really ugly. Check this link: www.amelan.com/english/index.htmlI am having it done at a doctor's office. Shall keep you updated on the results. But so far I only heard good staff about this treatment and it's also fast. Results guaranteed after 8 days.

Hello friends I thought I'd keep you posted...well..as I had written before I will be doing the Amelan treatment soon but after seeing my doctor again, we decided to do the Green Peel first. www.schrammek.de/greenpeel_e.htmlI have actually done it today and I feel very excited about it. Its all natural so no chemicals at all involved. It took about an hour and felt good. I don't know if I was imagining but right after I left the clinic I thought my scars already look smaller. This peel is going to take 5 days so they told me that after 2 days I am going to peel very heavily until day 5. Let's see. The good thing is....I can absolutely not touch my face because it is so tender. These will be the first 5 days in my life I don't touch my face AT ALL in about 10 years. Can you believe it? That's kind of sick isn't it. But I've been fiddling on my face every day for the last decade. I am so excited. Anyone ever done a Green Peel?

hi...thanks for your updates
i posted a question about a treatment called 'cosmelan' a few wks ago but received no responses; i think it might be the same as amelan but just marketed under a diferent name in a different country.
please keep us posted re both the green peel and the amelan treatment. i'm considering doing the cosmelan/amelan myself (for PIH/scars)

Hello again, ok...promised to keep you posted! Wow I can say! The 5 days are over and I have a completely new skin without a single spot on my face! I can't believe it myself. Actually I can't remember the last time I looked like this. Starting from the second day after the peel, my skin started peeling...now my skin looks fresh and rosy. I am very happy with the results. Actually I wasn't sure if it would be working great because it's ALL herbal, but it did. I paid about 450 U$ for it, that's including the creams you need to put on after the peel. I would do it again and probably will, later in the year, to get rid of some scars. Now I have to wait 10 days and then I will start the Amelan for the pigmentation.

thanks for the update!
just out of curiousity, what city did you pay US 450 for the treatment in? is that the office part of the treatment and then the other creams are on top of that? also you mention that you want to repeat the procedure...for scars and also for hyperpigmentation...yet you also say that you're thrilled w/ the results. so how would you describe what the amelan helped with most, if not scars or hyperpig?

well i live on the arabian peninsula so that's where i had the treatment. The price included everything you need for the green peel, also the creams for home use.
Hey if you read the post, i said i havent started amelan yet. Will start on next Thursday. I have only done the green peel and my skin has zero pimples/whiteheads and scabs. That's what i am thrilled with.

dharma,
thanks for the update. so you did the green peel first and next amelan? when are you doing amelan? i'm eager to hear what you think about it. sounds like the green peel was to get the acne under control and the amelan is to deal with the hyperpig/scars??
any idea how much the amelan treatment costs?

I also came across the following skin lightening treatments...very very affordable. anyone know anything about these products? www.ultimate-cosmetics.com/shopping/fair-n-lovely.htmthey seem to be manufactured in India and marketed to Indian women; wondering if anyone knows if they work on caucasians as well

Hello I just had IPL for melasma, my face was burning!!, the next day I could not put any make up, because my face was bruise, and horrible looking, I had to put a bandage over my face so i could go out, now after 5 days, i still have discoloration, with pinkish and brown color. I have an appt. to have cosmelan 1 mask, the cost will be $450, another place wanted $900, this place will be in wilshire blvd.,LA, so we'll see...as far as my skin, is fair, dark brown hair,Hispanic easily tan, but sensitive skin, my appt. is for 06-17-05, so I'll let you know how it goes....Elizabeth

hi dharma...what is your opinion of fair'n' lovely products? they seem to be some sort of herbal forumulation, not hydroquinone.
and liz 2: ouch re the IPL. i've had it and felt like almost nothing to me. how are you doing now that a few days have passed? why are you going straight into the cosmelan treatment? is it to help with the damage from the IPL? i'm very eager to hear what you have to say about cosmelan so do keep us posted!

Elizabeth2: Where are you going to have the Cosmelan mask done? I live in LA and I was planning on going somewhere that wants $950, but $450 sounds much better?

Just thought I'd let you all know a CHEAP INEXPENSIVE way to deal with the scarring, I went to walgreens and they had something called pimple eraser, it is made of glycholic(sp) acid and it worked better than a peel and dermabrasion I got from my dermatologist! Thank me later, I did my whole body. It only been a few days and I see a lot of improvement and I have olive skin!
