I noticed a lot of people here seem to be in the 20-30 age group, and was wondering if there were any other teens? ( i may also be being lasy, and not reading around enough ) I'm a 17 year old girl from the UK - and im studying to try and get into vet school. I have horses which i like to ride too. Wow, i have so much less to say than the older people with children and husbands and that - i did propose on the 29th feb, but he said maybe Kat

i'm only 17 - but thats close to 16 years too late before deciding to stop! personally i think its harder for us teens - we have all the normal teenage pressures to add to the pressures of picking! but at the same time, we drop old habits and get into new routines easier too. Took one of my horses to a show on sat and we came second

It's so weird that you ask that, cause I was just about to start a thread asking that, too. I'm 15, so I guess that makes me the youngest here. Though that has its setbacks, it is good to here the advice of those older than me. Also, it is good to know I am not the only teenager who uses this message board.

im 16.., i just found this site today and i wanted to ask you guys b/c youre close to my age, so i pick like, on my breasts, and, its really bad, and now im terrified to get intimate with any guys ever b/c of all the scabs, and summer is coming up and its going to be bathing suit season, and im terrified, as teens, do you guys have any tips? i know that i need to stop.., i just tell myself i will, and then never do, but its getting out of control, i used to cut, and its like, i gave up cutting for picking, and now im back to both, any advice?
its nice to know there are other people like me

i sometimes get paranoid about my breasts with guys, because i haven't picked It's because they seem dirty, so i pick off the dirt (i dont know what it really is though!) But they dont bleed, so i dont have a problem with scabs! I tried to inspire myself to stop, saying what would guys thing if they knew, what would my friends think if they knew, and it worked for a day or two. And advice - have great friends to support you! I'm still new here, and i've got closer to my goal than ever before with the help of these guys

First off, happy birthday you guys! It makes me so happy that I am not the only younger person here.
Borderline, try rubbing lotion or moisturizer into your breasts-it will make them less rough and dry, and thus, you will be less likely to pick them. Hope that helps!

you may find it a lot easier now emma, as you will be just starting to reach pubity, and for those of us who have, we seem to agree hormones are a trigger!
and good luck to everyone!
ergh... i posted something about bugs in the support forum, and i can feel them all over me - what makes it worse is that there are none, it's just thinking about the real ones outside!!!
