Hey Concerned Dad. It sounds like you have a zoo as well. I'm curious about your Death Tank. I work at PETsMART and it's becoming my life! So...how long has the tank been set up? What size tank do you have and what kind of fish do you have? Do you have an air pump, a filter, and a heater? Have you ever gotten your water tested? Hope I can help!

I have two dogs: a pug (Otis), and a basset hound/jack russell cross (Holly). Otis much more quiet and laid back than Holly. Holly is always barking and running around (she has the personality of a jack russell and the body of a basset!). Her bark is also just the perfect pitch to drive you insane sometimes. They're both good dogs.
My family also had a ton of gerbils at one time. Well, first I had two (a male and a female), and you can probably guess the rest. That was a while ago, though. The gerbil population in my house has since plummeted from about 10 or 15 to only 1. That doesn't even include the ones that I sold to a pet store! The reality of owning pets is that they don't live forever. In the case of gerbils: only about 3-4 years.

Cute Bunnies! I had to give mine away coz they kept jumping in the neighbours garden and eating everything!!
I would love to say i have a white tiger (my fave animal) but unfortunately i cant have one.
So instead i have settled for an african grey parrot called Teeto!! He's a little rebel! His fave word is shutup!! Oh and he likes to repeat 'come here' to anybody!! He is soo cute though! i would'nt swap him for anything!!

Awww, I used to have rabbits. I really liked them, but we used to have a dog that wanted to eat them, so it didn't work out. I used to have pet mice that I spent alot of time with, and they were very tame and sweet. I loved them so much! I bred them and they had babies, but after a few years, I got tired of cleaning out their stinky cage all the time. Right now I have three boxers, and I'm crazy about them! I love them sooooooooooo much! They're a part of the family. And I would like to make a statment, since we're discussing animals anyway... DONT BUY CATS OR DOGS FROM PET STORES! I feel very strongly about this and the following sites can explain why. If you love animals, please educate yourself! www.helpinganimals.com/i-petshop.htmlwww.hsus.org/ace/11757cavyspirit.com/petstores.htmwww.petfinder.com/Rescuing animals is such a wonderful thing to do. And if you think you're giving more than you're getting, then you are mistaken. We rescued a very sick boxer, Rusty, from our local shelter 2 years ago, and he is my best friend in the world. It took a few months for his personality to start coming out, but he's just awesome, and he knows that he's loved and he is very appericiative and loving. He had it bad before... when we saw him he was bone thin, had mange, heart worms, a broken paw that had healed crookedly on it's own, cuts all over his body, and one of his back legs had broken and had healed several inches shorter than the other, which can cause him some pain in his joints if he runs alot. Bless his heart, he's like a completely different dog now. He's healthy and thick, he has a gorgeous coat. You'd never know something was wrong if you weren't told. Spay and neuter your pets! www.doghause.com/spay.asplol, sorry to preach, but I love animals and I think they deserve love and respect. I think there are too few laws and penalties reguarding animals, abuse, and breeding.

Hi ,good to hear that we've got animal lovers on this site.My cat's freakin out cause the fireworks have been going of all over the town.Ash is an attention seeker ,coudly, loves talking, sitting on my lap& is very devoted.Maybe a bit cody, but who isn't ?She's a very good provider & loves hunting. After the big maggot outbreak, caused by Ash storing birds & rats under the bed,we had to take away some of Ashley's privileges. Now we check her out before we let her inside& had to put chicken wire on all of our windows so she can't sneak anything in.Before Ash we had a couple of rats, used to take them everywhere with us until they both died of cancer only month apart.Would love to get a dog , but Ash has been abused by dogs before me & my partner adopted her & I'm not sure how that will work out.I just love animals & imagine myself somewhere on the countryside with lots of different animals all around.

oooh a pet thread, wonderful!
I love to talk about our pets.
We have a 2 year old red merle Australian Shepherd named Isaac, aka Ike, aka Ikey-boo, aka Boo. Ike has been sick this week and after $700 of tests and intravenous fluids, he is recovering. I am cooking him chicken and pasta or rice to let his tummy heal.
We have 2 cats. Squire, aka Wee Squee, aka Squeek, aka Squiggly, aka Wee Squee the Squire Boy <-- my son called him that at 3 years of age - lol Squire is white and brown/grey tabby. He had a perineal urethrostomy so he is now sexless and has a female opening to empty his bladder.
Maggie aka Maggie Mayhem, aka Maggie BratCat, female black dsh. Sweet lil thing unless you ignore her when she needs petting, she'll nip you! I am now sitting forward on my computer chair so as not to disturb her as she is sleeping behind me!
2 guinea pigs, both male, both black and white - Winston and Lucky. Noisy, stinky lil piggies in a big cage, we love them.
Snowy, aka SnowBee, the grey-eared, pink-eyed white teddy bear hamster. Adorable lil critter!
Chipper aka ChipDip, aka Chipper D, the blue fancy budgie. Funny lil character flies out of his cage to his bag of bird seed and jumps IN the bag to eat.
We had 2 rattie girls that are both in heaven now. RIP Misty and Princess, we miss you.
Holly
