I have been on zoloft for like a week and a half....and so far it seems to be working pretty welll. But of all side effects to get... I have been excessively sweating..I live in CA and its hot, but it is seriously ridiculous..Like I need to add anything else to my skin.. It isnt constant but often enough, and seems to get like really excessive if I am active and anxious, like when I am trying to get out of the house to go somewhere... I dont know if it will go away and the meds are okay besdes that, and the trouble sleeping, but that I can deal with...
Has anyone else ever had or heard of this happening to anyone taking zoloft? I am not an overweight person at all, but am def not healthy and fit..but like people should not be sweating as much as I have been!! , It is kinda not helping the whole issue i havew/ my skin, bodily fluids. etc ....as I am sure you guys can imagine.

I'm not on zoloft so I don't know about a side effect.
I live in FL though (and sweat doesn't evaporate off the skin here because it is usually too humid) so I sweat a lot, yo!
I do find that if I'm anxious, regardless, I will get sweaty sometimes. It especially happens if I am going somewhere (just after I do my hair and it gets crappy looking, yuck!) I usually just turn the air conditioner down and drink a glass of water (I think this helps me calm down too). I've pretty much gotten acclimated enough to the heat here but it's like 90 something today and the AC in the apartment has to work overtime and can't quite get down to the temperature I would like. Everyone will be sweaty. When you live in a hot climate like Cali I'll bet people don't even think about it, plus the sweat should be evaporating off your skin and cooling you down.
A lot of times I just put my hair up if it's hot out and just try to forget about it. I also use Adidas deoderant/anti-perspirant (if you are not using an anti-perspirant your deoderant won't stop you from sweating). Don't over-use anti-perpirant though, because the active ingredient is Aluminum and you can get Aluminum poisoning.

More excessive and frequent sweating is a common side effect (though not shared by all, but many) to all SSRI's Zoloft is an SSRI (Selective, Serotonin, Reputake, Inhibitor) There are many other side effects both common and uncommon of these drugs, a good thing to do is to look them up on the web, to get a more extensive list. But don't think that its some kind of adverse reaction to the med's and DON'T stop taking them without consulting your Doc. Just as another lil'note, SSRI's take about 2-4 weeks to really start working, so sometimes you'll have some wierd side effects that will pass once your body gets used to the med's, so the sweating may be short lived. Drink plenty of water so you don't dehyrate, and stock up on deoderant in the meantime...lol. -Much luck, Peaches

Hey...I am on zoloft, 150 mg daily and I've been on it about 2 years. I have not really noticed any major sexual side effects, although I am not "in the mood" as often as I'd like to be. As for the sweating, I cant really say. I've been on it a while, and dont really remember what it was like before I started taking z. But, I am a chronic face picker, and can say that I defenitely don't think it helps with that. Atleast not for me. I started picking my face over 4 years ago, and it hasnt helped me as far as the picking goes.
