i am noticing that it is not only the light in the room that is helping or hurting.
in my room the light is dimmer than the bathroom
so in a way it works badly both ways
i see the scabs less in my room, i feel that it doesn't look that bad, but in reality in the bathroom it look horrible.
same with acne, it looks huge ugly when i'm in the bathroom with my face close to the mirror, and barely noticeable in my room.
ITS REALLY IN OUR BRAIN. WE MUST FIGHT THE URGE, AND THAT NAGGING THOUGHT THAT SAYS ITS OK TO JUST SQUEEZE THIS ONE.

Hi Anon! I know exactly what you mean. Bathroom lights can be notoriously horrible. Try your best to put it out of your mind. There is nothing more beautiful than a big 'ol smile and bright eyes. When people see a smile, they don't see anything else We are our own worst enemy!

Today for the first time in a while I got bored and then felt anxious, like I had to be doing something. I consciously chose to pick, like one would choose any activity that brings them joy. I like to think of that nagging voice as an opportunity to stop, not just a nuisance. Each time I hear and chose to do something else it gets weaker, quieter, unitl I just don't hear it anymore. It makes sense. Think of a time when you found yourself repeating something you said over and over because no one was listening (imagine this was over something neutral) and you got sick of it, saying nevermind. That is what happens to the voice in our heads when we chose not to give it the time of day. It does shut up and then we begin to see more opportunities for joy.
Much love

I am a light freak!!!! I avoid certain lighting all the time, but it's so rediculouse cause you can actually look "bad" in dim lighting or "good" in bright lighting. Sometimes I want to camouflouge my face in the light, but other times I'm afraid it just highlights all my "flaws."
