Hi! I am new, and just recently realized I am not alone! I pick the skin on my hands - mostly around my fingers. It's getting to a point in my life now that I want to stop - but i don't know how??I started when I was very young, and now in my mid twenties, I can't take the stares, the questions "what happened to your hands" and the never-ending supply of band aids Anyone have a similar problem?

Welcome, I hope you find some help here, I certainly have been motivated by this support group.
I do have a similar issue, but not to the point that anyone would really notice. But I pick my cuticles sometimes too.
I would recommend keeping your fingers moisturized at all times so there isn't anything dry (which makes us want to pick at it). At night, maybe try some neosporin on your hands with some latex gloves over them.
Perhaps a doctor could presribe a heavy duty moisturizer/healing cream.
