Does anybody else find weekends to be the hardest time not to pick? I have to really struggle on all week-end days because I live alone, and I have noticed that if I don't pick during the week-end, I would pick on Monday or Tuesday. If I make it past Wednesday next week, it will be my personal record for the last - uh? two- three years? Stay strong everyone, Best wishes, Masha

I agree. When I don't go out on Friday and Saturday nights (and even sometimes when I do go out and come home late) I find that it's my worst time for picking. Maybe it's because I don't have to see anyone on the weekends so I "let myself go". I don't know.
I'm just remembering how many things I would be doing if I wasn't picking. GOOD LORD it's alot.

Thats odd...im opposite. I see the weekends as my healing days. Cuz usually during the week my face will heal after gouging on Sunday or Monday night and it will take 3 or 4 days for one spot to heal and then i end up opening a new one. But the weekends I let myself heal up for the new week. But no longer...ZT baby!!
Im doing great!! Ive only been scratching at scabbed over picks on my upper legs or areas where no one will ever see. ;D And its not even bad. Ive scratched maybe...3 total!

Day one was shockingly good for me. It's the first day since I started picking that I really and truly picked nothing. I can't figure out how I did it, though I would guess that it has something to do with the timeline -- one day isn't anything when you look at what I'm actually shooting for. The most successful coping strategies I've found are to continue to write and write in my online journal (link in my signature) and to wear gloves while I'm reading my homework...because I can't concentrate on what my hands are doing AND concentrate on my homework. So, I allow myself to touch my face and to concentrate on my homework, but not to pick. It seems to work. I'm absolutely amazed at the healing my face has done. I had NO idea my face would clear up so fast. I only stopped picking at 1:00 on Thursday! But I look so much better. And, of course, I feel so much better, too. I think this is going to be a tough month for all of us shooting for ZT. However, so far, so good.
