Although, I haven't posted, I have been reading this board every day for 2 years now. I have been a picker for 13 years (face and body) and have actively tried to stop for 3 years. I FEEL that I am able to stop, I have reduced my picking to once a week with no significant damage, and now I am ready to let go of the once-a-week ritual as well. Please, count me in. I am reading these threads all the time.
Lots of love, Masha

Thanks for starting up this pick-free month, Heather! I wasn't going to sign on at first because I'm coming out of a bad spell of picking my face and I always (illogically) say to myself that I'll take up ZT once my skin heals and is clear(!!!!!). I'm sure many of us can relate to the sheer idiocy of that rationale. My skin never clears because I never stop the picking. I loved what you wrote about the 'successful' picks as causing the worst psychological (and future physical) damage. I've been observing this irony in myself for 15 years. Whenever my skin starts clearing up, I tell myself I can pick only the obvious ones, the 'sure things,' which of course starts the whole picking cycle up all over again. Long story short, I'm in too! It's an incredible feeling to know that not only are all of you out there, but that some of you are right now fighting the urge to pick by thinking of one another. Sweet. For people who have felt so alone for so much of our lives, we sure are a group oriented bunch!
