I hope that's how you spell it! Anyhow, I want to know about how many grams do you need for it to work. I'll try anything at this point and I have been researching on it and have found positive results. I just need to know how many grams I'll need. The bottle is very little and it costs $13. I wish it were bigger.

Hi. You are supposed to take inostitol in the powder form. It is available at some health food stores. It is expensive-about $60 but is should last a few months. Go to the website www.wsps.info and read the articles there. Dr.Penzel is an expert in this field (trich and csp) He has several articles on the dosing of inostitol. good luck!

After reading this short thread I decided to do some research on Inositol. www.thorne.com/altmedrev/fulltext/inositol3-6.htmlI found the above study and after reading all the info I decided that Inositol is worth a try. I got 650mg capsules. I found no info on the difference between capsules and powders other than the total mg. I paid 10 dollars for a bottle of 100. The reccommended adult dosage is 1-3 capsules per day. DH and I will be starting with 1/day. DH has suffered from anxiety attacks since 1998, has very high cholesterol (despite being a basically thin guy),has eczema and drinks WAY too much coffee! All of these things are indicative of Inositol depletion. If you have the time, check out the link above and post any comments you have. We are starting Inositol supplements tonight and I will post our results for you all. In the meantime I continue to pick anything I can find My best to all, TweezerQueeen

Hi, I see Dr.Penzel who has done studies on inostitol. It has to be in powder form-something to do with absorption I think. (I will find out exactly why next time I see him.) You cannot have caffeine with it b/c it blocks the absorption. So tell dh that no coffee! Just have him have 1 small cup of coffee in the morning-but thats it! Good luck. I am restarting my inostitol tomorrow. I too am a big coffee drinker. I'll be real cranky this week!!!
