oh, heather, that's the worst. Esp. when you've had great skin and then all of a sudden it looks not so great. That's the boat that I'm in. Even more long-term, I used to have GREAT skin in hs and early college and then now I just look like crap, so I try not to see people i knew then. I feel for ya, sweetie. Just remember (and this is so true, and I keep reminding myself of it) most of the time no one is caring what you look like. Most people are only concerned with themselves (in a good way, for us at least). I'm sure they'll forget if they've remembered at all, and everything will be fine. I'm just proud of you for going to class and to practice. YOU GO GIRL! kathy

Ack, not fun but you made it!! I work in a shower-room all day so I can't even think of make-up since it would just sweat off... If anyone notices my face(after years no one pays too much attention anymore)...I usually tell them it's PMS making acne flare up...that shuts most of them up Oh, make sure you add a long stare a them to begin with because 99% will start to squirm & feel like a jerk for asking at all... K.

Hi Heather- I hope that the rest of the week has gone better for you and that you are healing . It is so great that you are on a cross country team, that alone is something to be proud of!! Who cares, besides us, what our faces look like?! I have had to come to work before with big scabs, about the size of a dime, on my face. That was horrible - no makeup was covering that up!! Carree

Carree, Thanks so much! Today was actually a really good day. I haven't touched my skin since the pickfest. It's only been 4 days and my skin already looks much better. It's AMAZING how fast our bodies heal themselves if we let them. take care, -H

Good for you, Heather! It's always a good sign when, after you've slipped, you can get back on track so soon. Because, as much as it seems like it, one pickfest doesn't totally put you back to square one. It just reminds you of what a struggle breaking this awful habit is. And I have to agree with you about being completely amazed at how fast the skin can heal. I do a lot of reminding myself that not only CAN my skin heal, but it WANTS to heal. The trick, of course, is letting it do so. So, think about how good your face will look Monday if you keep letting your wounds heal!
