Fav song of all time is Everlong by Foofighters. It's the most romantic song that still totally rocks.
"Breathe out, so I can breathe you in - hold you in." That's my favorite line.
I'm pretty set on the alt. rock. Offspring, Green Day, Bush, Linkin Park. Linkin Park has great lyrics, all from a guy's perspective in a relationship, but I can so totally relate even though i'm a chica. Especially the song "Numb" I swear, that song was written about my marriage. Linkin Park has a song "Breaking the Habit" that someone else pointed out on the board earlier could possibly be about picking. Now every time I hear it, I'm thinking more and more it may be true.

Michael Jackson - They don't care about us
Even though he is a weirdo musically he will always be the king of pop.
Ironic as he has always had issues with his skin. Even superstars pick.
Now its just changed, its Man in the Mirror - am gonna make that change and not pick!!!!!!!

Ive fallen in love with Claire Voyant (you guys HAVE to give her a listen! Try "Mirror" and "Pieces") Collide (Try "Razor Sharp" and "Euphoria"), Frou Frou ("Must be dreaming" or "Pyschobabble", Hungry Lucy ("stay"), Switchblade Symphony (another must hear...let me recommend, "Fear" and "Monsters"), Conjure One ("Sleep" or "Make A Wish"), and Delerium ("After All"). Man I love music....id go nuts without it!

Deathcab for Cutie (all of them.)
Bjork (all of them.) ;D
Portishead - Dummy
Frogpocket - Gonglot
Apparat (all of them)
Arovane (once again...)
Helios - Unomia (and all the rest)
Deathcab's just good old fashioned indie-rock-- Bjork and Portishead you guys probably know about. The rest is IDM/Electronica, really spacey/wonderful stuff...
love this thread! thanks for starting it hoppe!!!
