This thread is to list whatever music you've got playing at the moment. Go ahead and put in lyrics or what you love about a song or how you connect to it if you want, and come back and keep posting. Just for fun.
Here goes:
Frou Frou -- Hear Me out
I heard about this band from their song, Let Go on the Garden State soundtrack. An online friend described them as a cooler Dido. Anyway, I love that movie (swear it will change my life somehow if it hasn't already) and it has a great soundtrack.

I loved Garden State. I just saw it and cried! I haven't cried at a movie for a long time.
Right now, I've been listening to Paul Simon, Grateful Dead, Fleetwood Mac, Outkast, and Black Eyed Peas. (a wide range I know).

Nice idea, Becca Right now: Tracy Chapman - Woman's Work Tracy Chapman's music always makes me more hopeful. 7 years ago I was hospitalized for six weeks because of bulimia/nervous break down; the girl I shared a room with at the hospital listened to Tracy Chapman non-stop. The hospital was a terrible place, but the music helped me while I was there . hoppe

REM - Everybody Hurts
I just love REM. I think this song had one of the best music videos ever made.
Oh wait, now it's
The Shins - New Slang from the Garden State soundtrack.

The songs currently in my head are:
The Beatles: Strawberry fields + Blackbird Elliott Smith: Going Nowhere + No More + Angel in the Snow + No Name no. 5 (This song is just devastating me today. I never realised how sad it was, it gets oversahdowed by the other songs on Either/Or, but my God, it's amazing) + every song he ever wrote Built to Spill: I would hurt a fly Azure Ray: Displaced
My favourite lyrics, surprisingly enough, are also by Elliott Smith:
Kings Crossing: "I don't care if I fuck up I'm going on a date With a rich white lady Ain't life great? Give me one good reason not to do it"
Passing Feeling: "still i send all the time my request for relief down a dead power line though i'm beyond belief in the help i require just to exist at all took a long time to stand took an hour to fall" I could go on (and on and on), but let's finish on a hopeful one-
Happiness: "What I used to be will pass away and then you'll see that all I want now is happiness for you and me"

I'm currently listening to Good Charlotte's The Chronicles Of Life and Death and Kelly Clarkson's Breakaway. Both which I think are great cd's. I also love Ryan Cabrera's Take It All Away cd, I bought it when it first came out. Although I haven't listened to it recently.
