hi there....I would like to introduce myself here.
my name is karin. I'm 27 years old and live in the netherlands.
I've been picking since I was 9 years old. a period of sexual abuse triggered the behavour.
I pick my fingers really bad, mostly my thumbs and handpalms but also my indexfinger at times and middle finger.
I also bite the inside of my cheek really bad and I pick my lips really bad.
mostly I pick till it bleeds or starts to hurt really bad.
I do not concider it a problem so big I need help for it...I've accepted the fact that I do this. it's just part of me and eventhough I'm very ashamed if anybody sees my hands, I am still very happy and can live with this 'addiction'.
I do like to learn more about it and support others who do have big problems with it or who just need some words of support sometimes.
