Sorry, but I am obsessed with baseball, and especially my favorite boys the boston red sox. So how happy am I that they crushed Anaheim in their first game in post season play. Maybe this IS our year!!
Schilling was on the mound and was methodically phenomenal as usual, and all the bats were on fire!
Just had to share my glee! dont know if anyone else on this board loves America's fav pastime as much as I do!

i love the cubs.... but im finding it harder to love them since they lost their chance at the wildcard. but my boyfriend just bought an x box and is always the cubs on mvp baseball and since they keep on winning on there maybe i can keep a place in my heart for them for next season.

Hey there, Gosh, it was heartb reaking watching the Cubbies lose last season in the playoffs. I thought that fan (cant remember his name) who blocked the play on the homerun ball would be lynched!! Everyone wanted to see Cubbies and Sox in the World Series. I really wouldnt have cared who won! Cubbies deserve it even more than the Sox! One of these days I have to make it out to Wrigley Field--speaking of Chicago. Well-sorry about the wild card for the Cubs--I am sure they will be back in good form next year. Plus they have our old Sox fav Nomar--he should be healthy next year so hopefully he can be a big contributor to the team.

That guy who caught the ball and messed up the Cubs was from my town, too! It was crazy, I was worried for the guy.

I felt bad for the guy too. It was obvious from the replays that he was following the ball and didnt know the outfielder had a chance to make the play. I read he was a little league coach too. Poor guy...he will always be "that guy".

Red Sox clinched the series in 10 innings with a walk off home run by David Ortiz!
It was phenomenal!!
Now I am just getting ready for round two of the playoffs!

I was VERY excited about that. And ortiz is so slow at running, but Francona kept him in the game both times and it paid off!
Last nights game was unreal! The way A-Rod slapped the ball out of Arroyo's glove while he was trying to make the tag. It was like a five year old playing....A-ROD sucks!!!
Tonight is game 7--I am so excited and I will be at the Fenway bars hopefully celebrating!!!

I was at fenway when it happened. i was in a bar with crazy screaming sox fans and then when they won we all poured into the street to celebrate. It was wall to wall people and unbelievable. The riot police were out in full effect!
Its so awesome to be in Boston now!!!
BTW-the Cubbies will get their due. A classic ball team like that deserves a big win!
