Hello everyone! I've noticed everyone seems to have found certain products that have worked great- I thought it would be fun to have a place to list things we love and things we don't I'll start! Things I love and would need if stranded on a deserted island: - Smith's Rosebud Salve and/or Kiehl's Lip Balm
- Tweezerman Cuticle Clippers
- Kiehl's Ultimate Strength Hand Salve
- Evansgarden face care regiman
- Terax Crema Conditioner
- PhytoPro Intense Volume Mouse
- Max Factor Colour Adapt Makeup in Bronze
- Bobbi Brown Lash Glamour Lengthening Mascara in Smoke
- Shu Uemera Eye Lash Curler
- Paula Dorf Total Camouflage in Sand/Nude
This is just a start, of course! I guess if I was stranded on a deserted island I might not need EVERY item, but you never know what you might need I LOVE products- Sephora is a giant playground to me. I'm open to trying just about anything once- you never know what you might discover. Hope there are more product junkies and can't wait to hear what you can't live without!

Sos- Glad to see a fellow product-junkie! Since you love good hair products- have you heard of and/or tried Philip B? Sinfully expensive, but the white truffle shampoo is well worth it- I have fine, thin hair but of course do anything to make it look like it has more body without damaging it- and this keeps it shining- it better, at $50 a bottle I debated for months and decided to splurge- of course now I can't live without it, but oh well!

hey guys I'm not a product junkie but was reading what you had put up about hair products.......unfortunatley one of my bad habits is constantly changing the colour of my hair........ive been most colours u can think of.......i was black haired a couple of months ago but i changed it to blonde which was just a feat in itself........and the end product of me doing this so much is that my hair is a complete mess.......VERY VERY dry and broken and totally (it seems ) unrepairable.....but i will never learn.......im not sure but i think u guys are in the US.....where as i am in england but was just wondering if you could recommend any product to help my hair as i need it so badly.....it already falls out much more than it should......it so needs an intense treatment to put on it.....got any suggestions? ......i know the obvious thing would just be to leave it alone and dont colour it.....but alas its just another of my compulsions........i have got better and now its only every couple of months but it never gets chance to repair before i'm off again....... any suggestions would be gratfully recieved from anyone.........here or there.... cheers xxx

Hi ceej1- I would never suggest not coloring hair- if you like to, then do it- but I can identify with the damaged-looking results! I have been the same color, forever- but it still dries out my tresses. I'm blond and get highlights and bleach is rough!!!
I am in the US, so I don't know if you can find these things, but the Philip B. White truffle shampoo is AMAZING- turns my straw into silky strands without killing the body of my hair. It is ridiculously expensive, the only drawback.
I have also heard Nioxin products are great and they are even frequently recommended for hair-pullers (thrichotillomania sp?) because it helps regrow hair- it's also great for people just like yourself.
I also make sure to aim the blowdryer down the hair shaft- this delays split ends and helps with shine. I love the Kiehl's Deep Penetrating Hair Cream- I put it on my hair at night after taking a shower and sleep in it at least 2 or 3 times a week. If you do this use a clarifying shampoo every once in a while to get rid of build up which makes hair look dull.
Sorry for my novel of a reply- I'm just excited to offer input! Hope you find this helpful!

Hey Ceej1, R.P. and Heather, Ceej1 I had really bad damaged hair some years back, from a really bad perm and I always lightened my hair on top of the bad perm...I tried every thing...the only thing I could do was to wait until it grew out and got all the damaged hair cut off...but I don't know if your hair is that damaged...a good conditioner that you can sleep in and hot oil from VO5, also a light spray leave in conditioner might help ...R.P great thread it's nice to see other suggestions...I can't wait to try that hair product ...Heather any oil control foundation will give a nice matte finish...or product that controls oil under your favorite foundation will work... o.x., sos
