My favorite bands and singers are The Grateful Dead, James Brown, The Velvet Underground, Lou Reed, Bob Marley, Rolling Stones, Moby, The Talking Heads, The Red Hot Chilli Peppers, Morcheeba, Neil Young, Ben Harper, Jamaroquai, Beastie Boys, ACDC, The police, Parliament, Marvin Gaye, Norah Jones, Sublime.

My least favorite bands and singers are Britney Spears, Christina Aguilera, Nsync, Backstreet Boys, Jessica Simpson, Celine Dion, Mariah Carey and anything country.

Wow, lots of underground stuff and here I thought I was in the loop! ;D
I like hard, fast and usually some yelling thrown in it.
My mom was only 16 when she had me so I was exposed to alot of teen-age partying when I was very young. Her and her friends were all traditional 'head-bangers' of the day so I was raised on KISS, AC/DC, Hendrix, Sabbath, Zepplin, Aerosmith and all that kind of the stuff so I still have a real taste for that. Naturally, as I grew up my taste evolved into the harder, faster, newer metal such as Ozzy, Metallica, Megadeth, Corrosion of Conformity, Slayer, Priest, Maiden and some lesser knowns of the day like Sven Gali, Saigon Kick, Monster Magnet, etc. So I'm pretty easy to paint with my musical tastes I'm still into what I guess could be loosely termed main-stream metal, I absolutely adore Rob Zombie but I'll always have a soft spot for Ozzy because of his No Rest for the Wicked album. I also really like Nickelback, Puddle of Mudd and one of my all-time favorites (who I've seen like 20 + times at least) an awesome Canadian band who kick-a*s all over the board The Headstones, no BS and trying to impress the masses by releasing some crappy pop style music these boys are the best rock has to offer not just in Canada but anywhere in the world!
Other then that though, (looking around to make sure nobody sees I'm typing this!) I also listen to Celtic music from time-to-time, hey I'm Irish my grandparents exposed me to that all my life!

check out sigur ros... they are an icelandic band and unlike anything ive ever heard, pure beauty... sounds like a celestial being mourning beutifully.
