Canuck- YOU silly! They are both JM! But I know who you mean. And, I was a fan of mraz before he was popular, so I guess I know what you mean I'll have to listen to that howie day madness stat. I love him dearly. I hope he's not going pop as well. Kathy

I love the Howie Day song, but could it SOUND ANYMORE POPISH? Geez. All my boys are going to be pop stars now Well, at least people will be listening to good music now. BUt, it used to be that it was "your own private little genre" and now it's...so...commercialized. Kathy

So I saw Ari Hest and Matt Nathanson on Saturday night. Woo! Matt Nathanson was...well...different. Very different than when I'd seen him open shows. It wasn't different in a bad way, just different in a way I hadn't quite expected from him. He was a little more hyper than I'd seen him in the past, babbling like crazy and funny as hell. I enjoyed it. Ari Hest = yay. I could stare at those eyes FOREVER. Goodness. I'm happy that I hadn't given him a try 'til Saturday night. I really like "discovering" artists live. Something about that is a little more special than on a CD or an mp3. Just thought I'd update you guys.

Holy crap. This new John Mayer song isn't on his CD, but it totally kicks my ass. It's available on some of the foreign singles of Bigger Than My Body. www.score1more4me.com/Tracing/He also released tour dates for the fall... ;D Just when I think I've grown out of him ---

Hey you youngsters! Do ya'll know a band called O.A.R. (Of A Revolution)? I saw them on tv last night. What a bunch of cutie pies, and I like their music too! I was reading about them on the www. Guess they have four albums out. Any suggestions on which one, so far, is best? Thanks in advance for the tip! Old Lady Elsie

Elsie, I don't know a whole lot about OAR, unfortunately, though I have heard of them. A friend of mine saw them play in Denver, and was very put off by their fans -- she said that they were too agressive. Of course, that says nothing about their music. If you liked whatever they played on TV (probably their newest single), you'd probably want to pick up their newest CD. On their webpage, though, they have an "OAR Player," where you can listen to songs from all of their albums (though I don't know if the songs are in their entirity). The webpage is www.ofarevolution.comLet us know if you end up liking 'em!

Thanks, Canuck! I also found their website, and interestingly, the songs are included in their entirety--very rare. Funny what your friend said about the fans, because the concert I saw on television, they all looked like your basic college kids with the girls in pants to small and the guys in pants too large! he he he ;D No offense anyone, only goes to show how old I am. You know you're getting old when you can no longer understand teenage fashion! Take care, and thanks to Kathy for starting this General Discussion board, since we are all about a lot more than picking! Elsie

oh, good, I was wondering if the new Dave was a good one. I'm not so much for John Mayer's new one, but maybe I just need to listen a couple more times. I still can't get Maroon5's album out of my CD player Kathy

It's horrible, isn't it? I will never forget Elliott Smith as long as i can put on Either/Or and forget about everything that feels wrong. I'm sorry that you're hurting, Tellohvision.
