How about everyone tell a little about themselves.
I'll go first.
My name is Carree, I am 30 years old, and I live in Michigan with my husband of 7 years and our 3 year old boy, Jakob. I have one older sister, a younger sister and a younger brother. My parents are still married and we all live within 10 miles of each other. I would say that are family is a close one, I talk to my Mom and sisters almost everyday. I am an accountant and I have worked for the same company since I was 17 years old. That's the basics.....next??

Wow Caree...we are very similar!
I am 28, have been married for 2 years...I have a 10-month-old daughter, Tate. I have one older sister. My parents are still married and I live about 10 miles from them! We talk every day. My sis is on the west coast, but we IM every day! I sometimes tend to think that we are too close-knit of a family.
I am a freelance, commercial make-up artist. I mostly use MAC make-up in my kit. I sell Avon on the side, but have yet to make a profit (since January!).
I have 4 cats...love to travel! I have lived in NYC, Philadelphia, Greensboro, NC and currently live in my hometown Charlotte, NC.
I guess i have to wrap this up...Tate needs some food!
Later, Glamourpuss

Well, hey there. I'm Kathy (also known as facepick/admin). I'm too lazy to login, clearly I'm 26 and I live in Asheville, NC, soon to move to Maryland. I work in the aerospace industry. I have 2 pets (hamster + mouse), I like to sew & paint. I sing, I dance, I'm like a regular non-Broadway star My house is always a mess, even though i'm a perfectionist, so I never have any visitors. But I do go out...when I look okay. No boyfriend. That's not shocking! I love music and I'm very into "guys with guitars" (jmayer, jmraz, guster, ari hest, maroon5, etc) Kathy

Hey everybody. I'm 22. Right now I'm living in Shelby NC, though I've spent the past 4 years in Greensboro going to school. I'm about to go to Ireland and work for 4 months (if I'm accepted into the program, that is). I have a wonderful mom and 16-year-old sister who I adore.

Okay. A little about me...
I'm 21, and an undergraduate student. I'm double-majoring in English and communications, getting a minor in Russian literature. I'll graduate in May.
As I've mentioned 1,000 times before, I skate. I love it. It's probably my favorite part of my life. It just makes me really happy.
I also love hockey and soccer. And most sports, in general.
I love going to Starbucks, but try not to go too often. I also have an unhealthy addiction with jewlery from Tiffany's -- my fondness for that stuff, I sometimes think, is worse than CSP!!
Reading is a big passion of mine, writing is an even bigger passion. My best friend and me are co-writing an internet-published piece of fiction (its almost like an online soap opera). We work on it, together, for at least an hour and a half per day. It makes me feel rather accomplished.
There's nothing better to do in the summer than go to concerts, read my "guys with guitars" thread for more on that!
I come from a family of 4, plus two dogs and a turtle. I'm really close to my family, especially my little sis, who is one of my best friends.
And that's me in a nutshell!

October...
Hey...I went to UNC-Greensboro for the last 3 years of my college ed. I graduated in '96 tho.
I hope you get this opportunity to go to Ireland! I went in 1999 and just wandered around by myself for a week! I just knew the places I wanted to go and went. I worried about lodging when I got to each place! It was nice not to have an agenda.
I mainly stayed in the south. My favorite place was Killarney. It has such a great vibe there. ANd everyone I encountered were so nice and sweet! I have done nothing but want to go back ever since I visited.
Now that I am married to a Brit, the liklihood of me going back is much greater! He's never been!
If you need any info...let me know!

Hi, I'm Jean!!!
I live in Colorado, and I'm 23 years old. I've been married for 4 years, to my very supportive husband. I have 2 kids. A 5 year old and an 18 month old. I'm a stay at home mom, who hopes to go back to school one day to become a Dental Hygienist. We have two Labs and a Hamster. I am very close to my brother and his wife, and there three kids. We live about a three minute walk from eachother. So we see eachother all the time. My mom past away about 3 years ago, and it still doesn't seem real. She was the best.

Glamourpuss-- Killarney is so great! I went to Ireland last summer with my cousin and we spent several days there. You're right, the people over there are soooo friendly. Lots of kind old men giving us directions and telling us to "mind ourselves" Did you go to Galway? Thats where I'm going to try to work when/if I go. What were your other favorite cities/places? PS -- What was Greensboro like when you went there? I get the feeling its going downhill --- fast.

October...
I do love Ireland soooo much! I didn't go to Galway and I didn't get to go to the Cliffs of Moher (sp?). I was only there for a week and I went to Dublin, Killarney, Cork, Kilkenny, Waterford...I think that's it!
Greensboro was pretty cool when I was there. Tate Street rocked! I worked some my last couple years at UNCG at Ham's on Friendly. They hadn't built the new science building and all the extra parking...McIver street is nearly non-existant! I briefly lived in a house on Jefferson St...which is now the newest baseball field. And all the frat houses are gone...they were eyesores to start with, but a distinctive part of campus life!
UNCG is growing...and unfortunately, it means it loses a lot of history in the effort to stay competitive with other schools. I am just glad that Spring Garden wasn't closed for the length of the school...it was discussed for 1997.
I go back some...I lived there for a year after I graduated. I have some friends that are still there. Actually at the beginning of August, I am going with my husband to some conference he has there for work. I will spend my days visiting friends and maybe going to Winston-Salem to see my cousin.
I have always said that I would love to live in Greensboro again, if there was work for me there. There was the greatest sense of community in the various neighborhoods. You don't get that in a lot of places.

how fun this section is! i just discovered it tonight. i'm 35 and i live in medford, ma with my fabulous and sexy husband and my very large cat, Pi. i work in boston for a government agency that builds affordable housing. the mission of my agency is very satisfying but the politics of working for the government are not! i play ultimate frisbee on a co-ed team and just got back from a beach tournament in new jersey. it was a blast and we made it to the semi-finals, which is darn good for our little troop. my other hobbies are sculpting in clay, which i actually haven't done in a couple years and i need to get back to it, and decorating our house. we just bought it and we're totally spastic new homeowners. can i just say that choosing paint colors has become my new obsession!!! like most of you, i'm close to my family, but we're far apart physically. we all live in different states! my father died 12 years ago -- he was mentally ill and committed suicide (a big reason for my OCD and CSP). but my mom is wonderful and my step-father has been a huge support. i have one older sister, two older step-brothers, and a younger step-sister. we all get along very well. my older sister is my best friend (after my husband). blah blah blah! enough for now. oh, i also love ireland! i visited it in '89 -- drove down the west coast and up through the middle and then to dublin. it's a magical, beautiful place!
