I just ordered a new cream called DERMA WOUND. If you google it you can read how it works and many hospitals are now using it. I'll let you know how it works out. I've been 'in hiding' for the past four days with three gouges on my chin. They are covered with the blister bandaids most of th time and it's helping. I foolishly covered them with a sea salt paste and distilled water yesterday thinking that would help. I thought the burning and stinging meant it was helping. Instead they are really red now.

:)OKAY. Here is my follow up to the DERMAWOUND product. It works. I've read that there are some of you (other than myself) that pick one pimple until in just won't heal. Well, this was about the size and depth of a dime and deep dark purple. I kept it covered for 3 days w/ a blister bandaid and there was no change, just lots of clear fluid ( lymphatic fluid trying to form a barrier) but it was still bright purple and deep. I got this stuff 2 days after I ordered it and followed the directions, except I used a bandaid instead of gauze and tape since it was so small. I only rinsed it off and reapplyed every day (no rubbing, scrubbing...etc.and no harsh alcohol or salt) It's been 2 1/2 days now and the edges have pulled in and it is light pink in color. It really works!! I also read a lot about wound care (since these are wounds when I am done w/ them not pimples) and after the red puffy stage is over ( a necessary clean out stage) you should never put anything harsh on it. you should keep it covered to avoid scabbing and heal more quickly too. turns out the salt, alcohol and salycilic acid were caustic and burning off the newly formed mico blood vessels that were trying to pull the sides together and heal the wound - who knew? Hope this helps someone else. When this bandaid comes off I will be okay for now. Wonder how long it will last? I haven't been to the eye doctor or dentist in 3 years because I don't want anyone close to my face or having something crack and bleed while I'm there.
