After I pick at my face - and then realize to my HORROR what I have done, I still can't seem to keep checking, cleaning w/ peroxide....... and touching the wounds -they are of course no longer just clogged pores or pimples. Then of course I feel so Dirty and dsgusting that I want to hide and I figure everyone who looks at me is wondering what kind of disease I have that makes these sores on my face. Okay...enough of that. I found that if I cover them with bandaids and leave them alone for at least 3 days there is a great improvement. (longer is even better) The BEST bandages are the 3M brand Nexcare w/ the little paper strip around them and the Blister type by band aid brand. The Blister type works the best when the wound is new. It's like a sponge that absorbs the fluid and the thing actually does heal quicker and there is less of a scar. I know it might look weird sometimes, but I feel like it's better than looking at a giant scab or wet wound on my face and I totally keep my hands off of it so it heals faster. The trick is to clean the skin w/ alcohol first so the bandage sticks and then DO NOT TAKE it off (unless you are just changing it for a fresh one w/ someone there to watch).

I sometimes use bandaids or the blister patches too, but you need to be real careful with bandaids. Sometimes I've pulled off good skin when I've removed the bandaid! Plus some of the adhesives in different bandaids cause my skin to react. Experiment first on some part of your face that doesn't show and be sure to remove the bandaid very, very carefully. If it sticks too much, try using a warm washcloth to soak it off. good luck!

I LOVE LOVE LOVE the bandaid brand advanced healing bandages. Its true, the bandaid just absorbs the fluid and makes a little white bubble underneath. I only wear them at night because it looks a little ridiculous, but it not only heals faster, and has less of a scar--BUT--it also reduces the swelling caused by irritation, so the wound is flush with the skin around it and so much less noticeable. Seriously these things are a godsend, they also reduce redness a lot, and the greatest part is that you don't put anything on the wound, just clean it and put the bandaid on, this helps me because when I put neosporin on I always get nervous because its goopy and I think its going to make my pimples worse. So, anyway, I just thought I'd share

For the tearing good skin, I would suggest kids bandages. They are made so they don't hurt when pulled off and would be least likely to pull the new skin.
