hey all, after years of research, books about skin and skin products and trial/error with literally dozens of products and speding hundreds of dollars, i have finally come to some solid conclusiond:
Face wash:1. neutrogena oil-free face wash, it gets rid of oil/dirt/bacteria/various pore cloggage/dead skin cells etc and contains salysilic acid (beta hydroxy acid - an excellent chemical exfoiliant and remover of pore cloggage)
2. or proactive face wash: benzoyl peroxide 2.5% (just as effective as 5 or 10% but without over drying), has ingredients to counter the drying effects of the bp. bp is very potent at killing the specific bacteria that causes acne, it also helps regulate sebum as well as an excellent chemical exfoiliant
Toner: 1. neutrogena pore refining toner: contains witch hazel extract (tightens pores), aloe vera extract (soothes redness), allantoin (promotes healing), glycerin (moisterises - non comedogenic), glycolic acid (primes skin for bp absoption as well as an excellent chemical exfoiliant and pore unclogger), and salycilic acid.
2. proactive toner contains the exact same ingredients as the above toner but no salycilic acid
Treatment: 1.neutrogena bp 2.5% cream: microsphere technology to time release bp effectivly deep into pores, micronized bp affectivly penetrates skin to kill bacteria deep down, microspheres that time release bp prevent over drying and irritation
2. proactive repaining lotion, same bp concept, also contains moisterizers
3. proactive mask: the clay is effective in drawing out impurities from the pored and contains 6% sulfur which kills bacteria
4. neutrogena oily/combination lotion with spf15 contains patented microsponge technology to absorb sebum and prevent kin from getting oily so it stay matte, non comedogenic
5. prescription retin-a micro, most prescribed and most effective acne treatment, treats acne and wrinkes and post inflamatory hyper pigmentation, microspheres time release medication to reduce dryness and irritaion, the tretinoin promotes new cell growth and repain and gets rid of old cells and pore clogage, regulates sebum
** DO NOT USE BP AND RETIN-A MICRO SIMULTANEOSLY, THEY NEUTRALIZE EACH OTHER
***DO NOT USE RETIN-A MICRO DURING THE DAY, THE SUN NEUTRALIZES IT
oral antibiotics (minocyclen is the best) have also been credited as very effective acne treatment
