Is it better to put a bandaid on or leave the skin(face)to heal without it?I've tried both but still can't figure out what works faster.

I'm not sure how much a band-aid helps. It can help protect the area, keep ointment on (keeping moist supposedly helps) and help keep you from re-picking the wound. As long as you use a band-aid that is breathable (either farbic or the plastic ones with the holes) and keep it fresh, change it daily and if it gets wet, I can't see how it could hurt.
The key to healing faster may be in what kind of ointment you use (try desitin or desitin creamy, or neosporin, or aloe).

I have found that bandages help heal wounds faster, especially with ointment on as well. The resulting red marks also disappear faster.
Also, if I leave them on, I don't pick the area. And one more benefit, bandages keep the wound from scabbing over with a raised dry patch, which I would most certainly pick off again if it were to appear.
I now realize I need to STOP my picking. But for those relapses, I have found that bandages DO help... big time!
