ok guys I used to pick my skin so bad i still have posts on here from it from about 2 years ago. im 15 now n when i was 13 i got one small pimple on my cheeck..i squeezed it n it spread badly so i squezzed n pick all the ones around it therefore creating one huge scab n then i went and picked that. stupid me i ended up with a red, inflammed sore and weeping sore on my face. one of my teachers at school even asked what had happened i had to make up a story saying "my cat scratched me" i dont think she believed it. but this year i decided that it was my pimples n little bumps on my face that were causing me to pick. we just had holidays and my mum kept asking why i didnt want to go anywhere and it was because of my skin i broke down n cried for hours on end. she then went and ordered me pro-activ solution. its a three step program thats not an acne treatment more like a skin CARE treatment. ive been using it for about 2 weeks now and my skin is looking as clear as when i was 10. if anyone is having problems with acne and that is causing them to pick. i really do suggest pro-activ. i might sound like one of those people of the adds but really..it does work!!! for any more info go here :www.pro-activ.com try it and see how it goes.

I know what you mean about making up excuses!
A few years ago i picked a spot on my chin and it turned into a scab and then an ugly red sore!
Because i am a gymnast i told everyone that i had fallen over whilst i was doing a handstand and had carpet burn on my chin!!!!!!! Not sure whether ppl believed it and there were a few raised eyebrows and suggestive comments...but it was better than telling anyone i had picked a spot!
Does anyone else have any strange excuses??

beware---after using pro-active for too long your body becomes immune to it and pimples come back---been there, but glad it has helped you!! I guess I've tried everything---but nothing works! I've even thought about accutane but scared at how it could affect my health....anyway, the main idea is to get me to stop picking before moving on to the next treatment.....but proactive may work for some, didn't work for me

oh well...sad to know that nothing can ever be perfect! it seemed like proactiv would be the cure to most of our problems initially...but look what happens when you stop using it there was once i had so many scabs on my face, i told my classmates that they were mosquito bites.

great suggestion. sometimes the pimples are hormonal/thyroid related and you need to address them internally as well as topically.
