I am new to this and was wondering if there is anyone who is from Michigan that may be able to suggest a good psychiatrist?

i'm in massachusetts -- sorry. but you can try finding a doctor by going to the OC Foundation website. www.ocfoundation.org they have a referral service (they'll mail you a list and they say it takes a couple weeks). also, my area has a local chapter of the foundation with a website and they actually list doctors that are around here (so you don't have to wait). maybe there's a michigan chapter too. good luck! |

Oh, if you're still interested another good option is to go to your local hospital. The mental health ward (don't get all creepy you're just stopping by!) will be able to assist you with a shrink in your area. Most of them will also be able to assist you with a specific type of psych, so if you are looking for someone who deals mainly with trich or ocd or manic depression they can steer you in the right direction.
I've got all the goods on locating a shrink, I'm a whacko buffet! ;D
