Anyone take adderall? Its an amphetamine and used for ADD/ADHD and sleep disorders. I use it for a sleep disorder and wondered if it had the same effect as some of you found from carbs and sugar?
Sucks if that is the case, tho, because I don't have a substitute for it and would fall asleep driving and such without it. Any ideas?

I took adderrall. made me stop eating. but also made me want to do lots of things... I guess it helped me not pick a little, till I came down. made me really high so I was a different person to others. I freaked others out. also it gave me insaaaaane anxiety.

I recently begn taking Adderoll on a regular basis, and this is when I started to pick. I notice that when the meds start to wear off is when I do the most damage. There must be a connection, because I have never had problems before this and now I have sores all over my arms and legs.

Hi Frustrated, I read your post about the problems you were having with Adderall. Have you tried Provigil (Modafinil)? I am taking it because I get too sleepy to drive on anti-depressants. It has helped a lot. I am not entirely sure how it works, but it doesn't get me high, or excited. It only takes away the sleepiness. The only problem is that Provigil is very expensive. It costs me $238 for 30 200mg pills, which last 2 months. I have found it to be worth it.

i was on adderall awhile. i had to while i was in school. i try not to take much now, or at all. it did increase my picking alot. if you need it to stay awake, that's not a good sign. i was like that and the doc kept increasing my dose. i was as high as they will prescribe, and then having problems again. then i read about how quick tollerance builds and i tried to stop taking it cold turkey. i slept 20 hours a day for like a week, so i decided to slowly decrease my dosage instead. it helped. when i do take it now, i still get the "coming down" fatigue. it really does help ADD, but ya gotta be careful and try not to take it on weekends and stuff if you don't need it to concentrate. because its addictive and you build a tollerance so quickly it can end up being a problem. the doc never told me stuff when i started taking it either. i learned through experience and research. hope that helps, take care
