When you are doing sports or...anything to do with a lot of movement you forget about the urge to pick. Some one else on the board mentioned physical activities, and i read that(I wrote a reply by the name of Becca - that was b4 i joined). Once I came on here ealier 2day - its 6:47pm now, i read that and after i disconnected i went out side and did a bit of running, cycling, skipping, juggling - anything which keeps my hands away from my face and I no this isn't a big accomplishiment but i haven't picked my lips for about.....3 hours which is about the longest i have ever stopped except for when i'm asleep! Horray. I hav got the urge and I reach my hand up and then pull it down. Also playing instruments can help. I'm teaching myself guitar and so that uses 2 hands so i can't pick so that is helpful. I use Clearsil Daily Face Wash and I hav a cream that i use on my sores but I can't remeber wat its called. I've only been picking for a year, i can't imagine wat it would be like to pick for 5+ years! The biggest thing - u gotta believe u can get better which i hav 2 work on. Anyway - physical exercise, anything which uses 2 hands, and use moisturiser or sumthin so that your face isn't dry and there aren't any flaky bits of skin. Just a bit of advice. Wow! wat a long message! lol ;D

Right on, Shania4eva! I really like being active, and when I am running or skating or dancing or something of the like, I obviously cannot be destroying my face.
After a really good workout, though, I have to make sure to wash my face well. Otherwise, I feel absolutely disgusting and am prone to picking.

Imagine if every time we had the urge to pick we would workout. Obsessive sit up disorder sounds much better than CSP. And we'll look awesome besides. LOL -Christine
