Hello - I was wondering if anyone has had any success with healing redspots and facial scarring. I know that when I finally stop picking a spot...the redness and scars seem to stay forever...which in turn sometimes has me picking again. eeeesh. today is the first time i've been on this site...or realized that anyone else did this ridiculous thing to themselves.
thanks for any advice.

Neosporin and a bandaid on them over night will significantly lighten and rid you of the reddness. This is also a good thing because its covered with a bandaid and you cant get to it.. depending on the amount of scars.. decided whether to put the baindaid in or out of your room because you might look a lil.. well.. silly. But I figure, its worth it because you look better in the morning. At night that is when you body heals and repleshises itself , that is why you'll see such significant results. That is the quickiest remedy ... oh witchhazel helps some too ( smells awful though). For stuff that takes long but works well I would suggest mederna... and to really get rid of the scarring.. facial scrubs work wonderfully.. especailly right out of a showe ror bath when your skin is really soft. Hope that this helps you out

If you stimulate collagen production with Retin-A (I use Retin-A Micro because it's supposedly more penetrating), the scars will heal much more quickly. I've been looking into Gentlewaves LED Photomodulation therapy--it's the latest technology, and it'll will probably supercede laser treatments and peels to becaome the wrinkle/scar remedy-of-choice--but, as far as I can tell, it has yet to be instated in dermatologists' offices. Essentially, with LED, you sit in front of a small, illuminated screen and the light waves trigger activity beneath your epidermis. Easy! The treatment is going to be cheap, too: $100 a session, and six to eight sessions are supposed to yield noticable results.
