Great book for quitting- "The Habit Change Workbook" by Pedrick. REALLY good. It's got worksheets and stuff and makes you really think about why you pick and great reasons to stop! Also, you can make a list of your top 10 reasons to stop picking and post them whereever you pick the most! Kathy

I'm am taking a course in university called "Health Behaviour Change" and we have to do a huge project about changing one of our behavoiurs...mine was face picking.
Although my behaviour hasn't stopped completely, it has decreased significantly.
You should read and practice techniques in a the book (a very interesting read i must say) titled " Self-Directed Behavior" written by Watson and Tharp.
Good luck..you can do it.

Thanks, J, for sharing the book! I'm already looking into it, to try and systematically work at eradicating all desires to pick. I'm so glad it reduced yours significantly. I think there is alot more going on than the actual behavior of picking to get rid of my desire, but it would be good for me to explore all behavioral options. Thanks again.
