best management of pus, fastes healing

i have a huge impetigo/ infected sore on my face because i picked a pimple over several days and spread infection.

on oral and topical antibiotic.

if had this situation what found best..covered or uncovered?

i have yellow hard pus in it.

i pushed some out twice so far. it has been at least 4 days.

i do not put makeup.

now i keep it covered.
one doctor said leave it open.
before another said closed.
