Hey there, I just registered here and I wanted to share my method of taking care of my irritated/damaged skin when you're on a budget. I use diaper rash cream. Yep. It really works well for me - reduces redness like crazy. Of course, please keep in mind that this isn't for everybody. Diaper rash cream has never ever caused me to break out, but if you want to try it, test a small amount first. I leave it on for at least an hour - usually overnight, but also when I'm working by myself in my room or whatever. It's not the most pleasant thing to have on your face, because it's very thick and of course I have to put a towel over my pillow when I wear it overnight. But for me at least, the benefits have been worth it. Diaper rash creams have a lot of zinc oxide in them, which is way more than just a good sunscreen - your skin needs zinc oxide to heal. It's the zinc oxide that reduces the redness and irritation so effectively. Also, these products tend to have cod liver oil or something similar in them, which is rich in vitamins A and D. Plus, they're cheap! If you want to give it a try, be sure you're getting one that contains no fragrances or colors. I use diaper rash cream no more than 3-4 times a week and have seen great results with regular use. I also use 100% Aloe Vera gel every day, which has always been my secret weapon against breakouts, irritation, and all types of skin damage. I recommend it highly. I hope this helps. Best of luck to everybody.

Great information. Thank you. I was looking for something to help because neosporin just makes me break out more and makes my cysts swell. I don't get good results from it. I will try both of these things (aloe and diaper rash cream).
