"scratchy soap"

One of my hardest times of the day is when I first wake up in the morning. It is part of my ritual to do an all over spot check of my body and pick anything tempting. I think it is the adrenaline and endorphin thing...kind of like a morning cup of coffee.... Anyway, I discovered a soap from Burts Bees called Peppermint Shower Soap that is both scratchy (almond meal) and tingly (peppermint oil) It also smells really nice and is all natural so no chems. The sensation on my skin seems to help me be less disassociated with my body and replaces the picking first thing in the morning. Scrubbing with it also exfolliates and makes your skin clearer.- Tam

I am the same way in the morning the first thing I do is inspect. However a good thing I try is to just put my gym clothes right on and wash my face and go without even looking because I am less likely when I get home to shower and I am on schedule. If I let myself inspect and begin picking I used to skip the gym if I would have a bed time in the am. Thanks for listening.Katie

The most difficult time for me s in the evening when everyone is asleep and the day is done, I think , "now is time to pick" Then I go to bed but there I times I have picked for about 4 hours. I was beginning to lose alot of sleep and I was thinking the whole timme, I could be doing something constructive right now, anything from writing, reading to sleeping!! but nothing would stop me.

So what I try to do is wash my face ahead of time. Don't let it be the last thing I do because then I will not end up wrapping my night up in the bathroom. The only thing that we need to do is change things around, break out of our bad routines and schedules. We can do it!! We are incontrol of our bodies.

We will not die if we stop picking, infact we will begin to live better!!!!
