I know, I know, this sound more like a beauty advice site but hey, whatever works!!
Lately I have had success with my face. First I laid off on the picking then I bought a couple of buff puffs and the single use disposable ones. They work like a charm. The whole key is to make the skin smooth. That is one of the reasons why some of us pick is to "get the little bumps out"
Using the buff puffs removes dead skin cells on the epidermis (upper layer of skin). It helps aid in the process of cell turnover thus eliminating dead, dull, flaky oil and dirt compacting skin. You are left smooth refreshed and vibrant.
Then... boil some water on the stove and then trap the steam with a towel and steam your face. It helps relax the pores and draw out impurities and infuse moisture into the skin. It makes the skin Dewy and moist. There is a "miracle coditioner" that I have been using. My mom picked it up from the health food store. It's called tates natural moisturizer. It is 100% Natural and is not GREASY AT ALL. I haven't had any pimples or blackheads since I began to use this. It is 24.00 for a cetaphil sized container. You can use it for so many uses. It is so nice I highly recommend it.
I have been doing so well lately because i am satisfied with the condition of my skin. When it feels nice and smooth I am more inclined to leave it alone. When it feels rough, dry, flaky, and Yucky!! you all know what I am talking about that is when I have a field day.
I hope I can continue on this streak.
I have picked alittle but no where nearly as bad as I have in the past.
Good Luck To All!!
Love Angela
