I,m Connie and I'm a compulsive skin picker, at the risk of sounding cheasy I am saying this any way. I'v come to believe that a power greater than myself can restore me to sanity. I believe that a power greater than myself can relieve my obsession with picking, and my skin. I know that this mental illness is bigger and more powerful than I am. I have no willpower, I've learned this; therefor, I need something equally as big, if not bigger, to defeat it. I choose to call this power The Power, Mother Goddess, Father God, the power of this site, the universe, the life force, and many other names. I have faith that this power can restore me.

Connie, I think that you should learn to refer to yourself as an empowered woman instead of mentally placing yourself at a disadvantage when you say you have no will power. You do have will power and that is why you are at this site-I suggest you start using it. You are capable of beating this thing. This mental illness is not bigger than we are, but if we pretend it is then it will be.
