TEXTTEXT
I have just realized a possible need for medication after spending an entire week in reclusivity, as a result of a horrible "pick fest". There have been years of talk therapy with little emphasis on the picking, since it has never been QUITE this disruptive of my lifestyle before...though, it has definitely prevented me from dating for FAR too long! AND, I have been a master at disguise but am exhausted by having to hide any longer! Finally, at 44, my bottom is out. Also, my skin is not "bouncing back" as quickly as it did in my past...which means more and deeper scarring and discoloration. Another question I have is regarding laser resurfacing...has anyone tried it out there? Desperate for answers, I thank you for your time!

I know exactly how you feel. I pick at my skin for sometimes up to four five, six, seven even eight hours at a time. It is a compulsive disorder and I can not break the disgusting habbit. Each day I say to myself-right tomorrow I will stop, andofcourse tomorrow never comes right. I am in the process of looking at laser resurfacing, I have visitd thousands of websites and looked at many many before and after photos and the resuklts are sadly not that great, and the procedure is very very expensive! Tell me how you get on,

Ladies I am the queen of surgery when it comes to getting rid of pick scars What would you like to know Ive had dermabrasion at least every 2or 3 years since high school im in my late 40's and I had the lazor as well but dont wast your $ until you can stop picking or youll just hate yourself for spending all that $ and all tha pain and hiding out for nothing every time I think this time I get it fixed I wont do it no more and then Im picking causing damage before it has a chance to heal I have been givin a fresh slate so many times just to scar it up worse than the last time. so you have to learn to stop first or your just fooling yourself if we could stop just like that we wouldnt be doing it now. if we cant stop for our kids spouses boyfriends jobs we wont stop just because we spent $ trust me on this one and youll save yourself a lot of disapointment and tears.

Mary!
What are the results of laser resurfacing and dermabrasion? I have mostly skin discolorations and I am confident that I will not do more damage to myself. I think that if my progress continues for two more months, I can undergo the procedures.
What are the improvements? Is it good for discolorations?
