i havent written in here forever..... since i have started school i have been so busy....
i started massage therapy school the beginning of december. i didnt realize that half of my time spent there i was going to be naked. we practice on each other and i get so scared when people have to see and TOUCH my body. i am always getting ingrown hairs on my legs but i dont pick at them too much. but still they look gross. i dont mind touching anyone else but i have a problem with people touching me. right now we are only working on the backs of people (feet, legs, butt, back and neck). im nervouse for when we have to flip over though because thats where most of the ingrown hairs are. i have been trying to drink lots of water because that is all my teacher allows us to have on our desks. i love giving massages... and getting them isnt too bad either, but i cant relax because im scared that whoever is massaging me is being grossed out by my skin. it isnt even that bad but it still scares me. this school has really helped me to start taking better care of myself but it hasnt helped my self esteem... oh well.

i havent had a major picking session in about a month. but im still getting zits... mostly right before my period. now my main goal is to get rid of the red marks from past breakouts. i hate this winter weather. its making my face soo dry. it doesnt matter what kind of moisturizers i use, its always dry around my mouth nose and in between my eyebrows. i have been using pure vitamin e oil and that isnt even working. i just want to scrub the flakes off my face.... but that would kind of be like picking i guess.
i guess my face is never going to be perfect.

its been a few months... i have been so busy with school and work. i dont have picking sessions like i used to... but whenever i can see the head of a zit i cant resist from picking it.
i got a microdermabrasion kit. my skin is really smoothing out. i had a bunch of little bumps on my chin that wouldnt pop whenever i picked at them. so now since i have been doing microderm they got red and turned into little white heads. but hopefully as soon as they heal they wont be there anymore. the microderm has also really helped with the red spots i had on my face.
well i guess thats all the news i have now..... ill probably write in another 3 months.... later

i got that microdermabrasion kit.... it makes my skin really smooth... however i doesnt say anything on the kit like you shouldnt smoke cigs after doing it..... which i learned at school from the esthetics teacher. i guess i didnt realize exactly what microdermabrasion does... i mean i knew that it exfoliates your skin but its a fresh new layer of skin... and i am only making it worse by smoking because then my skin is exposed to all of those toxins.
so i laid off the microderm for a few days and my skin started to clear up again. ill just have to wait until i can stop smoking... hopefully soon.
i have never really had a problem with zits on my chin until lately. they just keep coming back and i hardly pick at them. i really just wish my skin would clear and i wouldnt have a reason to pick... but its just a bad cycle!

i couldn't resist your invitation for support. It sounds like you have had a lot of insight along the way. Listen, here are my best solutions for face issues. For acne; dry it up with stridex or noxzema. If you can treat it with something that may replace the urge to pick it. For scabs moisturize; scars heal best when moist. Steaming sounds good; have you gone for a facial at a spa? I use New You facials form online site, they have helped over time to smooth scars. You can only use them once a week though.
It takes up a lot of time and energy to have this preoccupation, I know. I used to try to avoid people. Now I feel all right. I am on antidepressants. I think the picking made me feel I could change or affect something. Now I can use all that energy for other things. The angel and the devil on each shoulder, that is so right. Take the soft way instead of the hard way. Hope you are doing well.

well im done with school. i will take my national exam in about a month and hopefully then i will be a licensed massage therapist.
in the past 2 days i realized something very important about my skin. when i was in school we took a quiz to see what kind of dosha we were. it turns out i am a pitta dosha. the other day i was doing some studying online and came across a site that showed you what kind of skin type you were in terms of doshas. so i read the pitta dosha description and it fit me perfectly. it also said that my skin responds best to natural ingredients.
my sister has been selling ARBONNE products and she got me their line of skin care for acne prone skin called Clear Advantage. It includes a face wash, toner, lotion and clear skin vitamins. I was skeptical at first because i have tried skin care with the 3 steps (wash, toner and lotion) like Acne Free and ProActive and never got any results.
All of arbonne's products are all natural. Since I started using this system about 3 weeks ago my skin has made a drastic change. It cleared up almost instantly. And within those 3 weeks I have had my period which is when my breakouts are the worst. I did break out a little... but even before my period was over the zits were gone. Right now I only have 2 little red dots on my face where zits are starting... I STOPPED PICKING ABOUT A MONTH AND A HALF AGO so i know that these red dots will most likely be gone in the morning! I'm so amazed that left untouched zits dont become a whole production on my face.
Im going to be visiting my sister tomorrow and i cant wait for her to see my face. I am never going to use anything else besides this. I suggest that everyone find out what type of dosha skin type they have because it helped me a TON!
hopefully this passage didnt sound like a testimony for arbonne.... im just saying this is what worked for me under my skin circumstances and it may work for you...... (they have a bunch of different skin care lines.... and i have no doubt that wont work just as well.... lol sorry that was the last plug)
