How did it go, Ari? I hope everyone is doing well. Sorry I haven't been logging on much - summer is surprisingly busy for me. For the next few days I'm probably going to be offline, or at least not having time to post. I'm starting a new exercise program and I really want to give it all the chance I can. I'll miss you guys! Wish me luck!

OT- Eh, it didn't go very well. I am still picking. I still can't seem to kick the urge, even though I know I am only hurting, not helping. I got a new cream I am going to try, and in about a week, I am going to sleepaway camp...so I hope I don't get worse there. I get so scared and angry. I guess my time of success will come, but it just seems so out of reach.
Anyway, good luck with your exercise program and with ZT. You will do great. I hope you, and everyone else, are doing well!

Sorry it's taken me so long to post again... I was doing great until tonight. Watching TV somehow triggered more thumb-picking. I think I started to try to take the callous off, even though the callous was caused by picking! Ironic. But, something that I still count as a help is Sally Hansen Apricot Cuticle Cream (I think that's the name of it). I want to get a jar of it to keep permanently next to the computer, and one for the living room (where the TV is) and one for every other room where I tend to pick. Ari, are you back from camp? I hope summer is going well for everybody.

Hey OT
I got back from sleepaway camp yesterday. I had a wonderful time. Anyway, the dryness of Utah and the other mountainous areas was not such a great thing for my fingers. Even so, my fingers do seem to be doing a bit better.
OT, what exactly does this cuticle cream do? I want to try it..make sure you keep trying it, because it seems to be helping you.

Welcome back Ari! Glad you had such a good time at camp. I know about dryness, it wreaks havoc on my hands too. Do you think being busy helped you not to pick? The cuticle cream is for moisturizing cuticles, and also repairing and soothing hangnails. It says so on the label, and I found it at least not to sting when it's put on a hangnail. For me, this is wonderful, since it means I can rub cream on instead of picking. It also claims to help nails grow faster because of the massaging action, but I'm not sold on that yet. I hope that helps. Take care, OT
