Well, in the past weeks since I've joined this board I've really tried to cut down on my picking, and really be consious of when I'm doing it, and my face had cleared up so much! I'm so proud of myself, because my face is starting to look really good, though my back is still pretty bad. Anyways, I went to my doctor today and talked about it for the first time ever face to face with someone (I almost cried!) and she decided to put me on an antibiotic to help with the acne (Tetracycline). She's going to see if I stop picking when the acne is gone (she thinks that it might be anxiety related, but I don't think so), or if I do it just because. So we'll see how well that works.
Also, I don't know if this is just me, but I've noticed that the less I pick the more often I get really annoying, under-the-skin pimples, wich are even more irritating then scabs! I've been trying really hard to not let them bother me but it's very difficult to not scratch or squish them. Have any of you had similar problems?
Anyways, I hope this stuff works, and I hope everyone is staying strong in your own personal battles with picking!
