[glow=black,2,300]I have been a member of this board in the past under the usernames prettyinside and beautifulimperfection but each time I got careless, stopped visiting for a while, and lost my password. I'm back for good this time, or at least until I stop picking *FOREVER* and I do believe that is possible!
I've decided that ZT is the way for me to go. For New Year's Eve I'm going to get my nails done with acrylic or gel, nice tips, not too long but long enough so that I can't pick so easily. I pick my scalp, by the way. I have been doing it for almost ten years and I am tired of bargaining with God for it to stop. I am going to be proactive, beginning now. This HAS to end.
So any further info on ZT would be MUCH appreciated... if any of you are including ZT in your New Year's resolutions, feel free to join me in this topic! Let's make 2004 OUR YEAR, the year we STOPPED PICKING FOR GOOD. ;D Love you all...[/glow]

I'm with you!!!! I will stop picking - for better or worse, in sickness and in health - in 2004. I know that I'm gonna need the support of others like you on this board, so I too hope to be coming here on a regular basis. Now it's time for me to take a shower and get ready for bed - a very dangerous time for me as a face picker. The urge is so strong! My plan is to run in the bathroom and turn on the hot water, run out, and not go back in until the mirror is already fogged over with steam. I don't want to have an ugly picked at face for my friends New Year's Eve Party! I'm also starting retin-a micro tonight and I'm very excited/anxious. I know there's the "get's worse before it gets better" phase and I will NEED you guys! Good luck to everyone on Team ZT! P.S. I really like your user names.

We need a ZT pamphlet. LOL. ZT simply means Zero Tolerance. Meaning no picking at all. Now this is generally not always the case. With ZT you don't discourage yourself because of your slip ups but rather, do something to make up for it. Like I would come on here and spill about my day and such. Depending on how many people join the same ZT depends on how much support we all carry. During the last ZT a few of us kept in touch often to make sure we were all doing okay. If you leave your e-mail addresses in the new ZT2 thread I will try to e-mail you guys as often as I can. I changed my screen name too. It's now Mauyaea, which is Elvish for "compulsions". ;D
