reading all your stories has really helped me - i felt so alone and like some kind of freak but now i realise that we are all suffering thru this together! SO today im gonna try my damn hardest to not pick at my face, iv heard that vaseline aids the healing process so ill just put a little of that on but no other products. I think sometimes they cause more problems so wish me luck! I just want better skin for christmas, even if it is a scar cos they are so much easier to cove up than ugly red oozing sores good luck to all of you too - guess all we need is some perseverance to get us thru the hardest parts xxx

Hey Sillime, I hope you had a wonderful Christmas and that your New Year's is fabulous and pick free too!
On occassion I've used fine ground corn starch to dab on bad sores on my face. (A box of it is cheap at the grocery store) I dab it on generously. It seems to help dry them up and the scabs left behind are more flesh colored than regular scabs so they're not so noticeable. Also, I've used diluted apple cider vinegar (dilute it or it will burn) and wipe it over my face with a cotton ball. This seems to help reduce the redness, inflammation, and scarring. Hope this helps you (or others) in the future.
