oh well day 3 of zt + resisted any acne - did waste some time in the bathroom after i used a moisturizing masque. actually pretty good queen helene vitamin c and honey peel off masque. well i like using it and plan to use it as it states 2 times per week. but i have to be careful cause it could be a trigger. i took it off, and looked at my pores. did szueeze blackheads. but not any actual acne. so thats good. i did slightly touch one big drying cyst that has been healing for over one week. so its good that i did not dig into it and damage it. --ok tomorrow another challenge, is changing the bandaid on the two wounds on leg. ok take quick shower, and move fast in replacing bandaid. note: its when i am busy and do't pamper too much that its easiest to not probe. note: this keeping log helps. ok going to sleep. so completed zt day 3, with almost slip, but thankfully not damage.

Here's to day 3 anon! You and me must have joined this board at the same time because I'm on day 3 as well! I know what you mean about blackheads. Have you or anyone tried those Biore strip things? I was looking at them in the store but they were kind of pricey (well for me anyway!) so I passed on them. If anyone has tried them and they work, then I might try them. I've really got to learn to PAT my skin dry after washing up. I'm one that rubs my skin raw with a towel. Contgrats on day 3 and here's to day 4!

thanks farmgirl. its good that we are on same days. congrats on your accomplishment.
yup. u have to pat, especially the danger zones. i do the same where i have old scar that has just recently healed. knowing that rubbing it will cause it to break
and also like i said befofe: also be careful when using too much rough creams..etc...cause may cause slight skin peeling and openings of freshly healed wounds. so even if it peels, that is where to pat w towel and leave it alone cause it will cover up with skin sooner than u can believe it.
oh yeah: and part of zt 1. i have new red, huge cyst, painful on l temple, in addition to other small acne. it is something to be proud of that it is whole and not broken. its like a trophy in a way. o wow look at that shiner and its not toched. i had one that was healing for about 1-2 wks, something small came out of it yesterday by slight touch, but i did not further damage it. it is significantly smaller and no more pain. this is due to the waiting and not touching it. what came out yesterday was a slight slip. but i did good that i did not go at it and cause a wound.
2. THIS IS VERY VERY IMPORTANT: keep thanking when walking outside, how good it is to not be ashamed of having big scab on face to hide from everyone. thank that now you can do everyday things and go to work without shame and guilt. KEEP REMEBERING THOSE EMBARASING DAYS OF HAVING TO HIDE OR IGNORE OUR BIG SCABS AND PRETEND WE WERE NORMAL. THANK YOURSELF AND GOD THAT NOW YOU CAN GO OUTSIDE. JUST BE THANKFUL AND REMEMBER THE DIFFERENCE !!!!

Hi Farmgirl and Anon, I'd like to join you in your ZT goals. I'll be starting day one tomorrow. You are right, anon, it is helpful to keep reminding yourself how thankful you are to go somewhere without a sore. I'll keep checking in and hopefully beat this.
One thing I have found that helps is not leaning close to the mirror, try to stay standing straight up. I am trying to be ZT with that as well. No leaning!

oh well now i am at home wallowing in my pity sorrow. i was supposed to go visit my friend cause her birthday was yesterday. i have not called her yet. i plan to postpne and see her in a couple of days.
i was reading the guestbook and saw the proper name for our ailment:
DERMATILLOMANIA.
I GUESS THAT IS A MORE SCIENTIFIC NAME. its better to know i guess that it is a type of mania to remember how important it is to avoid it.
