hi guys, i'm very impressed with all of you who are making so much progress! me, i'm on about day 11 or 12 (lost count) and it's not going so well. ZT makes complete sense to me, but i'm finding it very difficult to implement. i was feeling so positive in the beginning, and now i'm back to my old grumpy & lazy (& picking) self.
but i don't want to give up, so i've given myself a new challenge: i'm going to chicago for the weekend with my mom & sister, and i'm going to do zero picking for the 4 days i'm there. i'm also going to give scarlet some support and check out the habit change workbook when i get back. maybe combining ZT with some habit changes will work better than ZT on its own.
have a great weekend, everyone! keep up the good work. xoxo

I know what you mean, I found myself picking my face two days in a row, very minimal and not noticable but I want to stop completely! It's hard, but I think in the long run, picking and feeling bad about my skin will make me more depressed so I have to give ZT my all right now so it can work. Good luck babe with your four days, you can do it!!!

e, I think combining ZT with the habit change workbook is a great idea. I joined Scarlets group too. I'm using every single trick in my arsenal to beat this thing! Give it everything you have. No one method is going to work for everyone, so you've got to just keep trying, keep looking for more answers, until you find soething that works for you. -H

Ahh yes, the habit changes. That's one of the hardest parts. For instance. Sitting here at the computer reading these posts, I've got one hand on the mouse and the other just DYING to touch my face as I do every single morning when I sit here with my coffee and read the morning news. Every morning I get up thinking, Okay you're starting a new day, DON'T TOUCH. But then I sit down at the computer and pick. One half of my brain thinks, well you may as well pick now, you just blew it. While the other half thinks, it's still early in the day, just stop. Ohhh It's so hard. Today is my day 2. So far I've been sitting here for 30 minutes and I haven't touched my face. In the words of Bob Wiley, (What About Bob) Baby Steps, Baby Steps.

heck yeah this is hard! i have not really had a day where i have not touched/scratched something. but its better than before! i am conscious about every time, no matter how little or big the "pick" was. I am not really counting days, but at the end of each day, telling myself that I did well, and that I can do even better tomorrow. Today is a new day! Doing pretty well...but the red sox are totally stressing me out! Keep it up! -cuse

Janita, You made it past the first day. That is a huge step. It is very hard. I too am on my day two, but it is my second day two. So this will be a big test for me. I have set a goal to make it through this minute, and minute by minute, I hope to get through today. Take care and keep up the trying, Amy

Yea...right now Im sitting here with gloves on so I wont touch at all. So frustrating. Im also dying of heat LOL. But thats the least of my problems. ZT is helping me though. My arms havent been this clear in a long time. I can actually count the open picks and scabs. I counted maybe 10 total on my left arm. Before ZT I wouldnt even be able to count there would be so many. I counted over 30 on the lower part of my left arm once. It was insane.
