Hey everyone,
Okay so I picked at my skin as usual, but this time it's taking a really long time to heal - like a couple of months so far. Yes, I keep picking at it but even when I leave it alone for a while it does start to heal but it takes a long time. The sores I have are different than the usual ones I have. There's no puss in them so It's not infected but lots and lots of oil. They never dry up! and they don't bleed either just alot of clear stuff, assuming it's oil, just comes out and its never ending. Has anyone had the same problem? Do you know what can help it heal? Thanks all.

I am not a doctor... but.... one thing is clear: you HAVE to stop picking at the sores. They will never heal if you keep trying to drain them. I don't have the same thing happening to my skin... but I can relate to the fact that my skin isn't healing the way it used to. I have red bloches I never had before and what appears to be elevated scars. Anyway, the point is, stop touching the sores. What is the longest period you have gone without touching them at all? Are you picking at them daily/weekly? Try not touching them for a few weeks and see what happens. If you really think its an oil build up problem, you could try an acid peel (I use MDSkincare). But do NOT use the peel on open sores! Hope that helps a little. It'll get better. It may just take some time

sound like serum
i also have picked at acne and cyst and made wide gapes .
serum gets activated when the wound is wet.
for me if i keep it dry a couple of days makes it heal faster.

Hi, I have these too, and it took me years to figure out that I have allergies. These are not like regular zits, they're full of fluid - not oil, but inflammatory fluid. See if you can get in to an allergist. My allergy is related to processed foods, it may be soy - but I am waiting to see the specialist. for now, I eat an extremely strict diet and I'm doing much better.
