Is it because our moderator is absent? I think I remember seeing someone say a while back that they couldn't get an official sn and password because they never got approved by a moderator, and since I've noticed that most all new people have been "guests". Sooo....
I'm wondering if it's time to try and get in touch with the current mod and see about taking over, or have someone take over, or share the responsibility (since err, I'm not so much one to step up and take responsibility).
I just hate to see these boards with so few posts and kind of dying. I know there's another board out there with more activity right now but I kinda stuck around here in the first place because there were a lot of interesting people.
Anyway, maybe I'm just rambling. What do y'all think? Or should there be another board started up? (I've been thinking about doing a website, somewhat personal though). But this board is already in google and all that and it's popularity that keeps these things going.

There probably is only a few of us special folk out there, but we should try to keep the board going. People will always drift in and out depending upon their need and interest.

Hello, not sure if I can post because i'm not logged in but thats because I never recieved my comfirmation code...sorry to go off topic here.
I know I typed my email in correct. Is there anything I can do about it? I joined up yesterday and still haven't gotten an email yet.

Hi guys. I haven't contacted the moderater (someone said she didn't respond to an e-mail...I will have to try it).
I wanted to wait and see what the response to this thread was. I don't think that there are few of us pickers out there at all. I've been on this board for about two years now and I've seen a lot of people come and go so I know it's pretty common. Just, there are few of us straglers hanging out at this site (some of the regular posters moved to selfinjuriousskinpicking, which I assume is just as good of a site and also has a really great e-book about what picking does to the skin). I've thought about making the move myself, or just, I dunno, maybe quieting down about it, but maybe I do need the support, even in a passive way. Ehh, I'll of course check in here unless it gets really dead if I can't get a hold of the moderator.
Toni, if you continue to post as a guest, people can still identify you by your name, so it's no problem. And welcome to the boards, of course!
So anyway, yep, gonna e-mail the moderator tonight and see if I get a response.

If you use AOL, they tend to block lots of mail that should be allowed through. If you can not get your key with AOL, we suggest you use an alternate email account with a different provider (such as hotmail, yahoo, gmail, etc).

Oh well, nevermind.
I found a couple of skin picking sites in the yahoo groups as well so all in not lost. I'll still check on this place to see what happens mind.
