and finally making sense of it all ...
So, I was over to a friends house earlier today and was browsing through his mothers books (she has alot of interesting ones...very ecclectic *did i spell that right...?*)...anyways...I picked up this one book and skimmed through it and alot of what I had read and browsed through really caught my attention and curiousity...so I borrowed it...brought it home and started to read it (from the actual beginning, because when I skimmed through it earlier..it had alot of "god and religious" talk and references throughout it, and im not big on all that "relgious" talk and preching shit because im not relgious like that....in that "god, christ, bible" sort of sense) So back to the story....I started reading it..and relaized its sort of a self realization book for understanding yourself and life better and by using that to excel yourself and enhance your life for the better and for the better of yourself as well as others...its kinda like one of those self-help, recovery, "12 step program" kinda books ya know? And the more I read the more I understood and the more I wanted to read. Its helping me recognize, realize, understand, accept, and learn from things that have gone on throughout my life, how that has molded me into the person I am and why im at the stand point im at right now...Its so eye opening to me and by reading this, I feel like im gaining some sort of control, awareness, knowledge and courage in myself. Anyhoo...the book is called "The New Alchemists Spiritual Secrets Of Learning To Love...( For those who want to turn the lead in their lives into gold)" By Lin Cochran. I honestly cannot wait to finish this book and to see what I end up learning from it. Even though it has alot of "religious" terms and references like "god this and god that"... its put it in terms I can understand and relate to and go...."ok...I see what she means and is trying to say...I get where she's going with this, and, yeah...ok...It makes sense" You understand and agree with the point shes trying to make basically. Anyways...once I finish this book Ill write what I thought about it in its entirety as a whole. So far...I recommend this to anyone who likes to read and learn about self awareness and life or whatever...cause so far its got me hooked!
