I know this question has probably been asked before, but i was searching and i couldn't find a board. So i asked.

Is there a cream, peels or w/e that can help reduce scars? I don't know much, so i need the info.

Scars gradually fade over time, some are permanent. I have picked over mine again and again, and some of them are really dark, so they are probably permanent, but i can probably make them lighter?

So what works? Vitamin E oil?

And has anyone used bareminerals makeup? How does that work in terms of covering scars? I mean, that is my main problem so I need a make up to cover scars without getting too cakey.

I used Mederma, and it has really helped with scars. I not only used it on my acne scars on face/arms, but also on my stretch marks after I had children. Then, I used it on them after they got chicken pox, and they only have a VERY few scars- mainly where I can't put the stuff (near their eyes)..... I haven't used the generic, so I don't know about it..... if it is an older scar, you have to use the stuff longer before you will see results. Best of luck to you- this stuff (picking and scars) really sucks....

I heard that Stri-Vectin will help remove scars from picking, but I don't know that first-hand because I haven't allowed myself to spend the money on it. It's very expensive--about $120 for a tube of it.
