Hey all, I've never thought of myself as a scalp picker, but now I don't know. On the back of my head I have these scab-like bump things. It's hard to explain. I find myself picking them all the time. I don't know why. Maybe because they won't come off, like they are stuck there. Does anyone else have this problem? Is this what most scalp pickers have? -sunshine-

Your story sounds like mine. I've been picking for many years but now...it's out of control. I pick sometines 16 hrs. a day. Mostly on the back of my scalp.

Hi sunshine, I am a fully fledged scalp picker, but I can't say I know what you are talking about, but then I'm normally concentrating more on the hairline and top of my head. Do they hurt? I do sometimes get strange bumps and things and lumps but not that I could pick at, kindof under my skin. It's strange I feel very skilled at my scalp picking, it's a pity it's not a useful skill that could make me a living since i've invested so much time in it! oh well, take care x

Hey I am sorry this is probably soo rude to do but I really dont want to make an acount and need to post somewhere... Also thanks for this site if not I dont know what id do I will first start by saying i am 13and i just started picking a little while ago maybe two or three weeks. When I was little i used to pull out my hair cause mt to get a little bald spot It went away in time but then there was little prickly hairs where my bald spot used to be so I picked, and picked. and now there is like scabs there and I really cant stop like picking them they hurt some times and stuff and its not like I wanted i just got a strange pleasure from it. and its getting bad luckily my hair can cover it but I am not sure for how long. the other day was wacthing a movie with this guy who likes me and like him so I rested my head on his shoulder and he began to rub my head and then I didn't no what to do so I was like "That feels weird dont.." I pick sometimes in class to I wonder if people notice and then alone at home I just really really want it to stop... It hurts so bad some times... Just wondering if there are some tips I read something like covering my head in towel I'll try it right now.
